QUESTION:
How far will you go to make you parents feel happy and at ease?

We all respect our parents, we love them, we dont want them unhappy.
Whatever decisions they make, we know they want the best for us.
But how far would you go to see the smiles on their faces?

Would you give up the one you love, and be with someone else because your parents want to lead a better life?



SCENARIO:
Guy one is rich. He loves you but you dont love him.
You used to love him, but not anymore.

Guy two isnt from a well to do family, and you both love each other now. But because your parents are too used to living in big houses, splurging on branded goods, they cant afford to move into a small house, or even work.

Your parents ask you to be with guy one because of all these factors.

Would you obey their wishes?
Would you sacrifice your happyness for them?

I started work back at esplanade today.
The feeling of working there is of cos different from that of the good old days. Nonetheless, i'm happy seeing the old family, at least some of them :)

And i'm even happier to know that mad and gen are coming back to help out at Phantom of Opera event this friday onwards, cos it means i will get to have suppers and meet ups with them! :) Lovely girls!

I was sitting outside talking to hotcakes when work ended and i saw someone walking towards me. She was smiling at me and i was wondering who's that. And it was gen! I almost couldnt recognise her! We screamed and hugged! :)

It's really such a nice feeling seeing the nice old family.
Gen, jason and me were chatting outside for awhile, and we were saying, the motivation and the family bond tt we used to have, in this big esplanade family, cant be felt now. The only time when esplanade had that motivation and bond, was during the period of october 05 to march 06. Gen even said aria looks so strange to her, the homely feeling she had, just isnt there anymore.

Roy tan, ashid, john kung, jason yang, roza, elicia, erika, madeline, wanhua, martin, viki chua, eric liu, vanessa, renie, mandy, this big family that made adesp break all sales record for christmas and new year 05, and the only batch of part timers at adesp where turn over was low :)

The suppers we always had at 925, our favourite prawn mee with john kung's favourite lala, the hilarious ktv where we went crazy, which was followed up with a freaking 300 bucks breakfast at a five star hotel, the mahjong at my place and john kung's, the chalet with mad's family, the stayover with mad, roy and eric oh at roy's place, the rooftop chats and beer and wine, the voiding of items at the rooftop cashiers, the times we ate behind the bar area, the days we did set up under the hot damn sun and sweated like hell, the days we worked so damn hard yet we were so damn happy, the fireworks, the quarrels and unhappiness we had, and the list goes on.

These are little of the many things that we actually went through. It was a short few months yet the bond is something so strong :)

Like what jason and i said over supper,
We dont mind working till 3 or 4 in the morning doing set up and what not,
We dont mind the crowd at the restaurant;

Though we were sweating under the sun, though we worked our asses off, we were happy and smiling people :)

So it's a fufilling day, cos i earned some moolahs.
Haha. Rather than wasting the day idling at home, i was at work, and i just had this sense of acheivement. I want to work hard so that pay will be thick and fat at april!

And hotcakes is so happy cos he bought the slippers he had been aiming for so damn long.
He wore it on the spot he bought it lah!
And know what he said when i said he was kiasu?
He said he had to SEASON THE SLIPPERS -.-

And he even smsed me that he felt so good that he wanted to walk more before heading home! Haha, cute lah!

I like it when he's acting like a little boy, haha.
Just find it sweet and cute! :)

The plan for today is that,
we will both try to attempt to cook something, and in the evening he's so looking forward to the pasam malam! Haha. He sounds like a little boy at times, and it just makes me smile :)
